Yakuza 5 - As mentioned prior, Yakuza 5 is my favourite entry in the franchise. It has it's issues, and it's far from a perfect game, but it also contains a lot of the franchises best stories and moments, from Kiryu and Shinada's parts being the best the franchise has to offer, to the final boss of the game still reigning supreme as the best boss fight in the franchise. Easily my favourite game of all time.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The man who erased his name - Controversial pick (especially for a second place title), but I don't care. Yes, it's got it's filler. Yes, it's got content padding that gets annoying. But that doesn't stop me from loving this damn game all the more, the story outside of its padding is really good, the final chapter is all around great (nil the construction scene, that was sorta weird), the combat and gameplay is really fun (outside of a few small nitpicks) and the character customisation is really fun. I don't care how flawed this game is, I love it all the more.

Yakuza 0 - My first Yakuza game, the game that started my admiration and love for this franchise. It helped me through a tough time and is the reason why I want to work in areas such as the creative industry. This game is a very personal game to me and I couldn't be where I am without it, which makes this game being great all the better. The style switching combat is fun, the individual styles are really fun <s>I will DIE on the hill that Majima's legend style is great</s>, the story is fucking great, the side content is plentiful, just aaaaugh.

I'm an aspiring writer, director, artist, professional procrastinator and a very passionate Yakuza fan. Starting the franchise with 0 during a very difficult time in my life helped set this game in stone as one of the most impactful franchises of all time for me, for better or worse.

My favourite game in the franchise is Yakuza 5, and as such I mostly make mods for it. My modding category isn't MASSIVE, but if you're as busy of as bee as I am, you don't get much time to make funny mods.

Favourite Yakuza games
